hooped sprout ring - patina

One-of-a-kind organic forms, inspired by delicate champagne cup and bird's nest mushrooms, rendered in solid, hand-shaped sterling (92.5%) silver. 
 
A single tiny cap sits snuggled down inside a larger cup. The hoop on this particular ring is sized just smaller than the large cup that it surrounds and has been left free-moving.
 
The ring band itself is hefty, to provide a grounded base for the lightness of the stems and caps. They lend themselves especially well to being worn on index and middle fingers in addition to a more traditional ring finger placement.
